  • Daniel Villanueva - Head Shot

    Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico,  Mr. Villanueva has traveled extensively across the United States and Canada to study, teach, conduct and perform. In 2011 and 2012 he was chosen as one of two New Mexico representatives to play Horn for the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute hosted at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In 2014, Daniel returned as a staff member for the SMI and conducted a performance of Stravinsky's Soldiers Tale on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage.

    Since 2015 he has worked as a music educator and conductor in both Texas and New Mexico as an Assistant Director with the Westlake Chapparel Band in Austin, TX and Simon Rivera High School in Brownsville, TX. In 2019 he returned to New Mexico as a Conducting Graduate Assistant at the University of New Mexico and has since conducted several ensembles including the Albuquerque Concert Band, Symphony Orchestra of Albuquerque, the ESSO (Santa Fe), and the Santa Fe Chamber Orchestra.

    From 2021-2025, Mr. Villanueva presided over the Volcano Vista High School Band as Head Director, earning a 6A State Championship for Concert Band in 2022 and a Silver Medal at the Zia Marching Fiesta in 2024.

    Daniel currently resides as the Director of Bands of Central High School and is immensely grateful for the opportunity to continue his musical journey with the students of San Angelo.


  • Allen Andrus - Head Shot

    Allen Andrus is entering his thirteenth year of teaching. Andrus most recently taught at Lincoln Middle School and Glenn Middle School. During his time as a band director, Andrus has been awarded the UIL Sweepstakes award multiple times with both high school and middle school ensembles, as well as fostering individual musicianship with students qualifying for the All-Region, Area, and All-State Bands. During his time in Burnet CISD, Andrus assisted the Esprit de Corps as they reached the UIL State Marching Band Contest twice, placing 3rd in 2020.

    Andrus graduated from Howard Payne University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and from Dallas Baptist University with a Master’s Degree in Christian Education in. As a university student, Andrus was afforded the opportunity to perform in various capacities. Most notably, Andrus played alto saxophone and flute for Winds of Triumph, which was a featured group at the London Olympics in 2012.

    Mr. Robert Kosko is very excited to be starting his 5th year with the Central High School Mighty Bobcat Band as an assistant band director. His responsibilities include directing the Honor Winds, serving as the visual director of the indoor percussion program, team teaching all concert bands, and assisting the Central feeder pattern. 

    Mr. Kosko is a native of Pennsylvania and graduated from Seton Hill University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in music education. His major instrument is trumpet and he studied under Dr. Ted Disanti. He is currently a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.

    Mr. Kosko also performed with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps from 2018 through 2021 on trumpet. He served as a leader for three years and was Brass Captain in 2021. Following his age-out season, he returned to Madison as a brass staff member for the 2022 season.

    Caleb serves as the Director of Percussion at Central High School, Lone Star Middle School, and Glenn Middle School in San Angelo, Texas, where he brings over a decade of experience in rehearsing and performing advanced percussion repertoire. His students have achieved significant success, including making PSA Finals at the WGI World Championships, winning the NTCA State Championships in 2026, and with numerous individuals earning First Division ratings at State Solo and Ensemble Contests.

    A graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education, Caleb has studied under esteemed mentors like Dr. Gordon Hicken and Dr. Daniel McCloud. He performs with the San Angelo Symphony, San Angelo Ballet, and various artists across Texas, writes percussion for marching bands nationwide through Luke McMillan Music Company, and has presented at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention. Caleb takes pride in inspiring the next generation of percussionists through dynamic instruction and mentorship.
